Mark The Spot AT&T

(image links to iTunes App Store)

I don’t think this is going to change our lives by any means but anyone with an iPhone might as well get this because it could help. Yes we’re doing AT&T’s dirty work with their new iPhone app “Mark The Spot” but as it goes with them everytime I call to tell them how terrible their service is they say “We have 3 towers right next to you so we don’t know why you’d think you have bad service.” and I say to them “Well, it’s terrible so do you ever actually send people where I am everyday all day just to check to make sure what you did is actually working?” AT&T’s response “No.”

So the moral of the story is I rather help them and especially not have to call them every month. I am pretty sure everyone in San Francisco at least will use this App once the first time they install it, report their location, which will span the entire 7 sqare miles of San Francisco and really not help but say all AT&T service sucks here but if it can help and it takes 2 seconds to do, we might as well.

Download it from the App Store.

RetailMeNot

Since it’s the holiday season, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew about the site Retailmenot.com. Lots of coupons giving you good savings that you might not have been emailed via retailers newsletters by each retailer, etc. I don’t buy anything online without checking out their site first (they have printable coupons too) so I hope it helps some of you who’d never heard of it.

Friday Night Lights – Season 1 and 2 DVDs

So it’s finally time. Maybe I was a bit shy at first but I think some friends recently starting to confirm what I already thought, Friday Night Lights is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. Now I know, It’s totally weird because I’m not into sports really, etc but it’s a really well done show, and I love watching it. I’m all caught up already on Season 3 that is only airing on Direct TV right now, so Season 3 will actually air on NBC starting January 16th, 2009, and that gives you plenty of time to get caught up.

The actors are all young, really talented, great soundtrack, and I think you should give it a chance. You can rent it from Netflix, watch episodes online or just fork over the $20 bucks for the Season 1 DVD and Season 2. Another possible Holiday idea, so make it happen.

Mike Perry – New Work

Mike Perry launches his new website, with new work, and a new domain name over at mikeperrystudio.com.

Not only is Mike a great friend of mine, but one of my favorite artists. He’s recently released his book of hand drawn patterns titled Over and Over and before that released Hand Job a book of handdrawn type, which are both beautiful.

Little Paper Planes – Deer And Bird Ornaments

Just added over at Little Paper Planes are these letterpresed and die-cut ornaments inspired by vintage tin cookie cutters. “Ready to assemble and hang on a tree or a gift with bakers twine.” Another simple cheap gift idea for someone.

I’ll keep trying to find simple gifts and possibly make a whole post on things I find along the way up until the Holidays. Feel free to post simple gifts like this in the comments too.
