Rdio is a new website that my friends Wilson Miner and Ryan Sims had a hand in designing. The website is similar to Lala,  and Rhapsody but it’s ease of use is great and discovery of music through your contacts is proving to be a fun way to remember guilty pleasures as well as finding new music.

I can’t wait till the real launch and as they add more and more music to the site. I also really like the iPhone app (which I am sure will only get better) because of the offline syncing of your Rdio collection.

There’s not much to say except that Virginia’s Jack Tatum who goes by Wild Nothing made one of my favorite records of the year so far.

My description: Dream poppy, shoe gaze-y, ride a tandem bike in Golden Gate Park in the spring/summer.

I just ordered this and Beach Fossils limited vinyl from Captured Tracks (which is quickly becoming my favorite label) so if you want to be a nerd you should do so too. Gemini is out May 25th, 2010 so go get it.

Here’s the newest video from the Barcelona based band Delorean. This song is the first single titled “Stay Close” off of their record Subiza that will be released June 8th on True Panther Sounds (Girls, Tainlines)

Delorean have been a band for quite some time now but on this record have really come into their own with their own mix of dance music (with Spanish influences) and contemporary pop to make a memorizing record.
