Jennilee Marigomen Interview

Read the interview Graham did with photographer Jennilee Marigomen over at his amazing site Future Shipwreck. I’m so glad he’s back in full force.

(Overall I like the new Drake but after listening to ever song he’s ever sang on, it’s not the most amazing thing he’s done. With that being said (I hate that saying) I really enjoy like 6 of the songs. That’s the worst review ever but still.

Adam Wood And Instant Gratification

I’d like to welcome my friend Mr. Adam Wood to Rubin Recommends.

Adam will be doing a new feature here titled “Instant Gratification.”

The hook: “There are currently over 12,000+ titles available to watch instantly via Netflix. Many of them suck. Here are some that don’t.”

Rdio And Invites

Rdio is a new website that my friends Wilson Miner and Ryan Sims had a hand in designing. The website is similar to Lala,  and Rhapsody but it’s ease of use is great and discovery of music through your contacts is proving to be a fun way to remember guilty pleasures as well as finding new music.

I can’t wait till the real launch and as they add more and more music to the site. I also really like the iPhone app (which I am sure will only get better) because of the offline syncing of your Rdio collection.

It just beta launched and I have invites which gives you 3 months free to try it out… so if you want one send me your email to rdioinvite@paperbrigade.com. (I only have a limited amount so hurry!)

Yelp Yack And Jessica Wassil

San Francisco based artist / good friend of mine Jessica Wassil has launched her new illustration site Yelp Yack. She also has a new portfolio site up at jessicawassil.com. Yelp Yack is “a blog where each illustration is based off a brutally real, random, and anonymous Yelp review.”

Justin Hollar

View the new website of New York based fashion photographer Justin Hollar. I was lucky enough to get to help him with the new site and look at his beautiful photos over and over.
