I didn’t understand why everyone was so into The Wire. I tried to watch it the summer of 2006 but it was on a small TV and it was 100 degrees outside, just couldn’t get into it. I tried again 2 years later and made it through the first season thankfully. So start it up, after you get through the first 5-6 episodes you really get it. You won’t be able to stop.

Never received the attention it deserved while it was on T.V. Now, sadly, it is gone. I truly believe that years from now it will be an example of some of the greatest television writing there is.
Just wait until you get to season 4. Hands down best television season to date. The way he makes you feel for those school kids.
I couldn’t get into it either and it made me question the opinions of those who could not shut up about it. Of course after it took I powered through all five seasons in about three weeks time.
Now I walk around the office and say: Someone gotta get got.
