(Part of The Weekly Check In series)

This weeks Weekly Check In is with Paul Hanly whom I share a love for 90’s Hardcore with. During the day and nights he’s the label manager for the wonderful record label Frenchkiss Records (who’s releasing the Passion Pit EP that I love.)
RR: What are you currently working on or just finished that you’re excited about?
Hanly: Super psyched to be working on the releases by the band Passion Pit. They are a tremendously talented group of dudes and their new EP and forthcoming full length are scorchers.
RR: Where have you traveled so far this month?
Hanly: I traveled to the Adirondacks in Upstate NY w/ girlfriend. My family goes every summer and its great place to do tons of outdoor activities like hike high peaks and this year doing some obstacle course called Adirondack Extreme.
RR: What’s your favorite music right now?
Hanly: Cut off Your Hands, Portraits of Past (reliving it, thx Rubin!), Big Star, Abe Vigoda, Dungen, Titus Andronicus, Amazing Baby, Violens, and Crocodiles.
RR: Best food you’ve had in your neighborhood lately or while you were traveling?
Hanly: Hmmm, traveling would have to be the Chestertown Main Street Ice Cream Parlor and Restaurant in Upstate NY. Best milkshakes ever!
RR: Anything Else You Want To Mention?
Hanly: I love Matt Rubin!!!
